Police Escort

In this photo, I was escorted by federal troops, along with the other eight black students, to Central High School. President Eisenhower had sent the 101st Airbourne Division to escort us after Governor Faubus refused to integrate the school in 1957. They protected us from the angry mobs at the school in Little Rock, Arkansas.
