I died of a heart attack on April 22,1950 at the age of 50. I had a heart condition and my doctors told me I should rest but I disagreed because I wanted to keep on fighting for civil rights. I married my first wife, Margaret Gladys Moran, on August 23, 1924. We got divorced in 1937. My second wife was Henrietta Williams, We married on September 14th 1937. Henrietta and I had a son, Charles Jr.
