After reading the article "Nightriders shoot girl; she loses eye" about 13 year old Jennie, I am both infuriated and proud. I myself, was shot the second day into my March Against Fear by a white man. Although not surprising, it sickens me that an innocent child was shot. I was risking my life when I started that march, but young Jennie was simply walking out of her front door. I knew what I was getting involved in, but a young woman such as herself shouldn't have to risk their lives due to the racial inequality. On the other hand, I am proud of Mrs. Willis for being inspired to become more involved with the Civil Rights Movement.

I really do enjoy that picture of me from the ADL conference this year! I even recall the beginning of my speech where I told everyone to take a picture of me and post it on their social media. My daughter said it would be a cool thing to do since i would be speaking to many young students! It was a pleasure seeing and speaking to everyone! to answer your other questions; At my graduation someone who was not famous just yet did attend with the rest of my family since he was in the area! It was Martin Luther King Jr. himself! I currently have three children Adam, Jessica, and MacKenzie! However, they sure aren't children any more, oh how time flies! [Jessica was probably my favorite, but then again if your name is Jessica you are probably everyone's favorite (; ] Lastly, My favorite food has to be Gumbo, I just cant get enough of that stuff, especially the way my lovely wife Phyllis cooks it! Okay that's it for now but please feel free to ask me anything else!

The 1954 Supreme Court ruling of Brown V. Board of Education cited my study on race relations. It was a tremendous feat and the reason integration was permitted. 

I did indeed establish the Free Southern Theater, and its purpose was to introduce the theater to the deep south free of charge to the communities, which had no theater in their communities and little in the way of culture production, Another purpose of the Free Southern Theater was to use theater as an instrument to stimulate the development of critical and reflective thought among Black people in the South and to support the efforts of those involved in the Civil Rights Movement.
