“What most did not understand then was that I was not only married to the man I loved, but I was also married to the movement that I loved”
I was born in Heiberger, Alabama on April 27, 1927. My parent's names were Bernice and Obadiah Scott, they lived in Perry County, Alabama. When I was younger, i had to walk five miles a day just to go to my elementary school in Marion, Alabama. I attended Lincoln High School after elementary school. After high school i went to Antioch College in Ohio to continue my studies at New England Conservatory of Music. I met Martin Luther King Jr. in Boston and we got married on June 18. 1953. We had 4 kids; Yolanda Denise, Martin Luther III, Dexter Scott, and Bernice Albertine. I went on marches with MLK, spreading nonviolent social change. He got assassinated on April 4, 1968, but I kept spreading advocating. I died January 30, 2006.

I was interested in your education and profession. Do you have a signature quote or a goal that you could post?
Hello Mrs.King, I see that you've added me as a friend however I'm a little confused as to what connection we have. I'm not even sure if we've had a public conversation so if you could let me know why you've added me or, better yet, what connection we have I'd love to accept your request! Thank you
Mr.X
