Major Accomplishments:
I made a new organization called the Southern Negro Leaders Conference which later was named Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC.)
Education:
My freshman year of college I attended Knoxville college in the fall of 1939. For the sophomore year, I went to Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical College. For my last two years I attended Paine college where I graduated with a B.A degree in sociology in 1943.
Organizations/ Memberships:
I was a part of the Civil Rights Organization and a Veteran of nonviolent activism and protest.
Professions:
I preached and was a civil rights activist.

You succeeded somebody pretty important as president of the SCLC. Who was this person and what can you tell us about the SCLC? What do the letters stand for and what does the organization stand for?
