I was planning on attending Little Rock the next school year as well but Governor Orval Faubus close the school so I couldn't. Anyways I "moved to Santa Rosa, California, to live with a sponsoring family, Dr. & Mrs. George McCabe, who were members of the NAACP, for {my} senior year of high school. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in journalism, and earned an MA from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, in New York, and earned a Ph.D. from the University of San Francisco. I have worked as a reporter for San Francisco’s public television station and for the Bay area’s NBC affiliate. And ontop of that I have written numerous articles for periodicals including People, Essence and the San Francisco Examiner. And I'm the author of "White is a State of Mind," and "Warriors Don’ Cry."

Ms. Beals, It is little details about a person that really help me get to know them. I understand that your grandmother is religious and taught you some prayers that helped you get through difficult times. What Psalm was it exactly that she taught you? I also see many pictures of you and you are wearing stylish shoes. What are those shoes called? (Hint Goggle key words)
"Those who would integrate our schools at any price are still among us. They have seized upon the present situation to promote and foment concern and discontent, because of the temporary closing of the schools. They have spread wild rumors and attempted to organize demonstrations. These are the same people and the same forces who have all along been opposed to the majority will of the people of Little Rock and Arkansas".
Interesting so far. Don't forget about the rest of the profile and quotes and goals.
