36 Governor of Arkansas. Desegregating Little Rock Arkansas school district.

Orval Eugene Faubus (January 7, 1910 – December 14, 1994) was the  36 governor serving from 1955 to 1967. He is best known for his 1957 stand against desegregation  of the Little rock during the Little Rock , in which he defied a unanimous decision of the United states Supreme court by ordering the  to stop students from attending Little rock school. Despite his initial staunch segregationist stances, Faubus moderated his positions later in life.

Despite your best efforts to keep us out of Little Rock Central High School we overcame and will forever be remembered on the right side of history. We took a stance against the inequalities we faced and eventually overcame them even with many people saying horrible things to us. We are strong as a unit and diversity will always win.
