I was born January 23, 1935 in Harlem New York City where I attended Stuyvesant High school. I had two brother and my family was not the richest
I married Dona Richard but divorced her, after that i married Janet Jemott and had four children.
Accomplishments
I worked with the King and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).
.
I was apart of the Student Non Violent Coordinating Council (SNCC).
I tried to spread the word of pacifism.
I also worked with the National Association of the Advancement of Colored people(NAACP).
in 1964 became co-director of the council of the the summer project for (COFO) was to end racial disfranchisement.
Also came up with the algebra project which was to improve minority education for math.
I helped voter registration in Mississippi as well, known as Mississippi freedom summer project
I was once compared to the great Martin Luther King jr. said the New York times
Education
I went to Hamilton college but then later transferred to Harvard University and studied philosophy.
I taught at Horace Mann school as a math teacher.
In 2006 I was named a Frank H.T.Rhodes class of 56' professor
Taught in Africa
later got his PHD at Cambridge
I was selected as 1 of 12 inaugural Alphonse Fletcher, st.Fellow by Fletcher foundation, awards substantial grants to civil rights activists
