Huey P. Newton's Page

Life

I was born Huey Percy Newton on February  17, 1942 in Monroe, LA, my family and I moved to Oakland California while I was a child. I graduated high school an before attending college I taught myself how to read. During my venture of college I meet Bobby Seale and in 1966 we formed the black panther group. In 1967 I was sentence to prison for manslaughter of a California cop.

Education:

In 1965 i attended Merritt College for my associate degree.

In  1980 I went to University Of California at Santa Cruz for my Ph.D

I also attended the University of San Francisco for law school. 

Organization:

I am the Co Founder of the Black Panthers for self defense.
